The MyGolf program is Australia&#8217;s national junior introductory program and is endorsed by both Golf Australia and the PGA of Australia. The MyGolf Junior Program is a Golf Australia initiative aimed at getting youngsters into the game of golf and providing them with the tools and skills that will allow them to play the game for life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Our programs are fun, interactive and provide all children the chance to learn golf, make new friends and enjoy the various activities The Ridge has to offer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Working closely with Jack Newton Junior Golf, The Ridge Junior Program offers a pathway for children of all ages and levels and is delivered by a team of qualified PGA Professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The Ridge Junior Program includes a comprehensive 8 week program each term and consists of three levels:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Rookie: Try Golf (5-7 years old)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Star: Learn the Skill (8-13 years old)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Master: On Course Play (10-15 years old)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">To make enquiries about what program is suited to your child or to enrol your child into our junior program, please click on our program dates and times webpage, email us at <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"mailto:juniors@theridgegolf.com.au\">juniors@theridgegolf.com.au<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Private lessons are also available from our dedicated and experienced team of PGA Professionals.\u00a0The cost is 50% off the adult lesson rate.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"border: 0px solid black; background-color: #efefef; padding: 25px; margin: 15px 0;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">There are a few simple program philosophies that the MyGolf program has been based around:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #333333;\">Fun<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Above all, it\u2019s imperative that any activity is fun and engaging for juniors to keep them involved and excited about golf. Juniors, particularly at the introductory level, are looking for fun with their friends and therefore that is the platform for which MyGolf has been based.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #333333;\">Life Skills<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Children are introduced to valuable life skills throughout the program that will not only assist them on the course but also in everyday life. Each level of the program focuses on developing two specific skills such as respect, sportsmanship and perseverance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #333333;\">Games<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Using games is the best way for juniors to learn and develop skills while still having fun. The MyGolf program encourages learning through fun, team-based, inclusive games and activities which allow for skill repetition and progression.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #333333;\">Simplicity<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The essence of the program is for juniors to enjoy golf and learn and develop new motor and life skills along the way. It\u2019s important from the outset, regardless of age or ability, that we enforce the idea that golf is simple and easy to understand.
